GENERAL JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Childhood TB Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the management of tuberculosis (TB) in children and adolescent. His/her role involves working closely with healthcare providers, public health programs, and community organizations to ensure effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of TB in children.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To Guide and facilitate implementation of strategies to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood TB.
- To lead and coordinate process for review revision and development of guideline, training material, desk guide and job aids for diagnosis and management of child hood TB
- To do need assessment for capacity development, arrange, organize and facilitate training events for healthcare providers, community health workers, and other stakeholders on childhood TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
- To frequently interact with Provincial technical team for update on CHTB and periodically review and discuss progress, gaps and challenges in CHTB.
- To evaluate and report on TB presumptive identification among children and CHTB notification trend and treatment outcomes of TB in children,
- To write/contribute in annual report on progress and challenges on CHTB.
- To Work closely with surveillance unit to establish and maintain a comprehensive database and user friendly dash boards for tracking and monitoring childhood TB notification trend .
- To analyse data conducte small surveys for quality of TB diagnosis in Children and promote use of molecular methods for diagnosis of TB in children.
- To collaborate with Provinical programmes , district health office, healthcare facilities, and community organizations to strengthen the TB control program and promote awareness of childhood TB.
- To participate in operational /research activities in children for evidence-based intervention towards improving quality of diagnosis, identification of risk factor and uptake of TPT in children .
- To advocate for adequate resources for childhood TB prevention and control, and raise awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment.
- To Identify gaps and areas for improvement in the childhood TB , develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and address over and under diagnosis of CHTB and treatment outcomes.
Stay updated on new recommendation/guidleines for prevention , diagnosis and treatment of TB in children.
Elligibility:
- Qualification: MBBS , MPH
- Max Age 45 Years
- Experience Minimum 7 Years working experience in Public Health Programs with 3 years working experience on a Managerial role
MBBS with Master in Public Health. Max Age 45 Years. Minimum 7 Years working experience in Public Health Programs with 3 years working experience on a Managerial role. Candidates with clinical experience in pediatrics, higher relevant qualification, and publication/s in peer reviewed journals on relevant topic will be preferred. Sound knowledge of WHO strategies and guideline on Management of childhood TB is required.
Familiarity with public health systems, disease surveillance networks, and reporting mechanisms, data analysis, and interpretation with analytical, problem-solving skills will be an asset. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and project management abilities is required.
