IT/MIS Officer

GENERAL JOB OBJECTIVE:
To maintain broad knowledge of HIV, TB and Malaria information system technology requirements with maintenance of their existing information systems.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The MIS Officer will be responsible for the following:
A) Development:
i. Assist Manager MIS and technical units in developing manual/web-based data collection tools.
ii. Assist in ensuring inter-operability of various data sources.
iii. Assist in development and maintenance of Manuals for Information Systems for end-users.
iv. Prepare customized progress reports on monthly/ quarterly basis or as required by the management and maintain/update the software developed for generating accurate and complete reports.
B) Roll out:
i. Assist in deployment of MIS/Software where required.
ii. Capacity building and training of field staff.
iii. Technical assistance to field staff.
C) Maintenance:
i. Trouble shooting of MIS/Software including usability, data consistency, and rendering issues.
ii. Assist Manager MIS in updating of MIS/Software as and when required.
iii. Ensure data security by putting in place adequate security measures against the data hacking/ tampering, data access.
iv. Supervision of data entry process at all levels.
v. Complete Quality Assurance of all the processes involved in data punching.
vi. Handling operational process of MIS.
vii. Maintain & update all websites under CMU.
viii. Conduct field visits for validation & verification of MIS/DHIS-2 data with manual data at health facilities.
ix. Manage network infrastructure including interconnect between high performance hardware (servers, routers, switches) till end point connections to individual hosts/users.
x. Ensure MIS database systems are up all the time. Also, ensure nightly backups are available in form of file backups and database backups.
D) Coordinate with all relevant departments including data section, M&E section, IT section & Technical Units for data reviews, troubleshooting, verification & validation.
E) Support Technical Unit in verification of data and preparation of GF grant PUDR on regular basis.
F) Carry out IT installations, implementations, configuration & roll outs & other technical duties as per requirement.
G) Ensure proper maintenance of IT equipment.

Requirement:
- Master in Computer Sciences/ BSc Hons CS or equivalent with 16 Years education from HEC recognized university Max Age: 45 years.
- Required Experience:
• With at least 3 years’ experience in relevant field.
• Microsoft MVC, Microsoft ASP.NET, Microsoft C#.net
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in handling of maintenance of server and deployment of projects.
