SECTORAL COUNCIL- TEXTILE AND LEATHER DIVISION

Job Purpose:

To drive the development of Pakistan’s textile and leather industries by enhancing value addition, promoting exports, and ensuring adherence to international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Development:

  1. Develop strategies to boost exports of textile and leather products.
  2. Facilitate participation in international trade fairs and

Value Addition:

  1. Promote value-added products such as finished garments, fashion accessories,and branded leather goods.
  2. Encourage innovation in design and Compliance and Standards:
  3. Support exporters in obtaining certifications and meeting international quality
  4. Ensure compliance with environmental and labor Industry Support:
  5. Collaborate with industry stakeholders to resolve challenges related to raw materials, production, and logistics.
  6. Advocate for tax incentives and subsidies to support Monitoring and Reporting:
  7. Track global trends and their implications for the textile and leather
  8. Provide regular performance reports and recommend strategies for Additional Skills:
  9. Basic understanding of the product and associated
  10. Basic research on particular product / sector and prepare a brief write up highlighting the sectoral features,
  11. geo mapping of manufacturing and processing, its stakeholders including manufacturers and exporters, regulatory environment and incentives associated with the sector.
  12. Develop detailed understanding of the problems and issues of the product
  13. Develop understanding of the regulatory environment linked with production, manufacturing, exporting and importing of the
  14. Develop grip on Global market trend of the product and global trade dynamics with reference to the quality and conformity standards and technological developments in the sector.
  15. Develop proposals on policy as well as growth analysis of the sector emphasizing upon the enhancement of exports and to bring about policy proposals envisioning quality, competitiveness and exportability of the
  16. Coordination with all federal, provincial and local governments and with all other government departments and private stakeholders linked with the
  17. Arranging and facilitating national and international exhibitions and delegations pertaining to the product.
Academic Qualification & Age
  • Master’s in Business Administration
  • MA/MSc/MS in Economics/International Trade/Finance/Statistics/Mathematics
  • M.Com
  • Master’s in Public Administration
  • Or sixteen years of education in any of the above disciplines
  • Maximum Age: 35 years Max.

Experience

Preferred IN relevant field.
