Agro and Food Division

To promote and support the growth of the agro and food industry in Pakistan by identifying opportunities for exports, improving standards, and facilitating international trade.

Key Responsibilities: Market Development:

  1. Conduct market research to identify export potential for agricultural and food products.
  2. Promote Pakistani agro and food products in international.
  3. Develop strategies to diversify export markets. Stakeholder Engagement:

1. Coordinate with industry stakeholders, including farmers, exporters, and government

2. Facilitate collaboration between producers and international buyers. Policy Advocacy:

4. Recommend policy measures to improve competitiveness and export readiness of the sector.

5. Ensure compliance with international quality standards and trade agreements. Capacity Building:

  1. Organize training and capacity-building programs for
  2. Provide support in meeting certification and labeling

Monitoring and Reporting:

  1. Monitor the performance of agro and food
  2. Prepare periodic reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Additional Skills:

  1. Basic understanding of the product and associated
  2. Basic research on particular product / sector and prepare a brief write up highlighting the sectoral features, geo mapping of manufacturing and processing, its stakeholders including manufacturers and exporters, regulatory environment and incentives associated with the
  3. Develop detailed understanding of the problems and issues of the product sectors.
  1. Develop understanding of the regulatory environment linked with production, manufacturing, exporting and importing of the product.
  2. Develop grip on Global market trend of the product and global trade dynamics with reference to the quality and conformity standards and technological developments in the sector.
  3. Develop proposals on policy as well as growth analysis of the sector emphasizing upon the enhancement of exports and to bring about policy proposals envisioning quality, competitiveness and exportability of the product.
  4. Coordination with all federal, provincial and local governments and with all other government departments and private stakeholders linked with the product.

Academic Qualification & Age

  • Master’s in Business Administration
  • MA/MSc/MS in Economics/International Trade/Finance/Statistics/Mathematics
  • M.Com
  • Master’s in Public Administration
  • Or sixteen years of education in any of the above disciplines
  • Maximum Age: 35 years Max.

Preferred IN relevant field.
